Revelation & Understanding
This caption, I think, captures the essence of our entire situation: Our Logic says "NO," while Our Sense of Self says "YES." And how, exactly, do we get our heart and our head to co-operate, anyway? It is at this point that our life-long journey to self-discovery begins.

This one came about, during one of my many ruminations on how I came to accept my femininity. Once I committed to exploring this aspect of myself, without guilt or shame, I came to realize just how life affirming that first experience really was. Feeling a bra band across my back, along with all of the security and vulnerability that such an experience conveys? There is nothing like it in the world for any girl.

For this one, I stretched my creativity by just a bit; I combined a pre-existing quotation (the bottom one in red) with a quote of my own creation (the top one in yellow). This process was aided by the composition of the photo, itself: it wasn’t hard for me to imagine the girl as representing something that the man is trying very hard to ignore. The whole thing just seemed to easily fall into place.
Come to think of it… looking at it again now, it kind of looks and feels like a Public Service Announcement! What do you think?

When I began the process of captioning this photo, my first task was to find a quotation that matched the vivaciousness of the girl in the image. Little did I realize, at first, that I already had a short and sweet quotation already saved to my computer. It didn’t take long before I brought the two together; it worked out much better than I expected!
